Priscilla grew up in Yonkers, New York, a city in the shadow of New York City. After receiving her BA in English at SUNY@Albany, she studied poetry with Ruth Stone at Indiana University, (MA in writing), and earned a Ph.D. in Folklore.
She spent many years teaching English, writing stories and poems, and exploring painting and the visual arts. She lives in California with her pup Sparky.
